EDAC Winter Game Jam - Theme “Coyote”
Spirits from the sun are hiding on your island, bringing an eclipse to the land. It’s up to you to collect the spirits and bring the sun back.

INTRO TRANSITION - Used to keep eclipse in player’s mind.
TUTORIAL - “Enclosed” area to learn controls and apply knowledge.



COLLECT TRANSITION - Shows the eclipse move, giving context to your objective.

Island assets were randomly placed using Gaia.
Collectibles were placed near designed landmarks to help guide the player.

Save a polluted planet by collecting garbage and activating the Terra-former.

Litter Bot must clean up all the garbage…

…but they must be careful, The Planet’s atmosphere is very toxic!

Litter Bot regains their health in the safe zone and gradually loses their health outside the zone.
The more garbage & batteries collected, the wider the safe zone becomes.


Litter Bot’s level was created with Unity’s Terrain system.


With use of Grass/Rock textures, I tried creating a consistent visual language.
Grass = Flat & Traverse-able | Rock = Elevated & Impassable


The beginning area doesn’t have much elevation and is easy to get around…

…While the outer reaches are much harder to navigate with heightened elevation and multiple paths. You must be very cautious of your health in this area.

With an unorthodox control scheme, I tried to keep the level design as simple as possible.
Using high contrast colors for the pink canyon, it helps create an easy path for the players to follow.

This project was a blast to work on!
Finished within a 48 hour period. I believe this is my most polished solo game jam project.
- Good placement of collectibles to give direction to the player and enticement to experiment with the mechanics.
- Baked lightmaps to produce more believable lighting.
- Simplistic, but satisfying animations on Newt.
I just love this one so much. :)
